Letters, sounds, words — at their own pace.

Akshar Saathi blends play and structure. Every lesson is short, beautiful, and built around an AI tutor that meets each child where they are.

🔤

The Devanagari alphabet

Every vowel and consonant, taught through tracing, sound matching, and gentle repetition. No flashcards drilling — just discovery, one letter at a time.

🎤

Pronunciation that adapts

An AI speech tutor listens to your child speak Nepali words and gives kind, encouraging feedback — adjusting difficulty as confidence grows.

📖

Stories from the mountains

Short illustrated stories built around Nepali culture, festivals, and everyday family life — the kind of stories you'd tell at bedtime, in your child's first language.

🪄

Words for the world they live in

Everyday words for food, family, school, and play — designed for kids growing up in Nepal and the diaspora, where Nepali might not be the first language they hear.

A grown-up's checklist, taken seriously.

👶

No accounts for kids

Your child doesn't sign up or sign in. Progress lives on the device only.

Questions parents ask first.

We'll keep adding to this as the app gets closer to launch. If you don't see your question, just email us.

When will Akshar Saathi launch?

We're targeting a late-2026 launch on iOS and Android. Sign up for launch updates above and we'll email you the moment it's available.

What age range is it really for?

The sweet spot is ages 5–10. Younger kids (3–4) enjoy the visuals and sound matching but won't get the most from the reading lessons; older kids (11+) may find the difficulty too gentle.

Does my child need to already speak Nepali?

No. Akshar Saathi is designed to work for kids with any starting point — fluent speakers learning to read, diaspora kids hearing Nepali at home, or families starting completely fresh.

How much will it cost?

We're finalizing the pricing model, but the plan is: a generous free intro so families can really try it, then an optional subscription called Saathi Plus for the full content library and an ad-free experience. Final pricing will be confirmed before launch.

Is my child's voice data stored?

No. The Speak activity uses your phone's built-in iOS or Android speech recognition, which runs entirely on-device. Audio never leaves your phone — it isn't uploaded, isn't stored, and isn't used to train any model. You can disable speech features anytime in Parent Zone. See our full privacy policy.

Be the first to know when we launch.

We'll email you once — when Akshar Saathi is live on the App Store and Google Play. No spam, no newsletter you didn't ask for. Promise.
